So I was recently at the TAOM Convention of 2011, as a dealer with Daytona Magic. The convention schedule, in my opinion, was poorly set up, but I still had a lot of fun and met some great people. One of which was named Trini Montes. Trini did some of the most straight forward magic with cards that I had ever seen. It was amazing. And simple. He told me Ed Marlo is the guy to study, so that is what I am doing now.
I got Expert Card Conjuring from H&R Books, also a dealer there, and it was full of Marlo stuff. I am only 4 pages in and I am trying to master every move throughout the book. This will be a testament to my commitment to magic.
But, the day after the trip, I drove to Daytona to work, only to find out that the Magic Business is lacking and the economy is really down. So, I can no longer work full time there. I will, however, be able to go to all the conventions (even the ones over seas) and work every now and then, until the business picks up and I can go full time again. But this time off has given me time to really look into how much it will cost to really put Pinnacle Spades to work and have products up for sale.
Wish me luck.
